(NRUCRD)
There were several messages posted on The Solitary Circle regarding the formation of the Universal Church of the Reality Deviant. Since all of this "pre-history" is covered elsewhere, this page will focus only on the actual postings related to the belief system of the NRUCRD itself.
The Basic Tenets were the first actual aspects of the NRUCRD. They came about immediately upon the death of the UCRD and subsequent re-birth as the NRUCRD.
The general principal behind The Basic Tenets is what would a religion look like if formed by committee? Keep in mind that the following list is a work in progress and will be added to as situations warrant, as the topics come up in the message board, and as we are inspired by the UVL (see below for a definition of UVL).

Basic Tenets of the NRUCRD: (all of which are highly debatable) #1 We're right. We don't know about anyone else, but we know We're right. We can't agree amongst ourselves what "right" is, but we know we're it. #2 Spirit is infinate. Or maybe not. Maybe it's just Undoubtedly Verly Large. Hereafter, the Spirit may be refered to as the UVL to save space/time. #3 We don't believe in space/time. Or maybe we do. I don't know, I'm just a grouch. #4 We're all grouches. Some of us are just a lot happier than others. The reason we're all grouches is to make it easier to disbelieve anything we're told. This greatly facilitates Tenet #1. #5 If you think we may be wrong, we'll refer you to Tenet #1. We ARE right, after all. #6 We don't want any new members. Hell, we don't even want the old members. But since it's a free world and "Universal" is a part of our name, we won't stop you from joining. Just know that you're not welcome. Besides, "Deviant" is part of our name, too. #7 We don't believe in reincarnation. What? Oh. Okay. Some of us don't believe in reincarnation and some of us do. If you're wondering how this can be, read Tenet #4 which will in turn refer you to Tenet #1. #8 We really like Tenet #1 and are really glad we made it up. Oops. Disregard this. I didn't really say it. #8 (the real #8) All the basic Tenets are divinely inspired by the UVL. (there, that should take care of any future doubt.)
#9 We believe that our sexual oreintation has about as much impact on our spirituality as our eye color. So, all you green-eyed people ARE GOING TO BURN IN ETERNAL DAMNATION IN THE FOUL PITS OF #10 We believe that we each create our own reality (hence "Reality Deviant", get it?). Yeah, this probably should have been further up on the list, maybe even first, but we felt we really needed to establish that we're right. (see Tenet #1) And we are. Right, that is. Just ask us.
