Just what IS the NRUCRD?
Well, technically its just a bunch of messages posted to The Solitary Circle club on Yahoo! It's also a separate club for the purpose of archiving the messages in a forum that doesn't get over 200 messages a day.
But on a more "Spiritual" level, it has become a forum for Religious Satire, with it's own system of beliefs, complete with its own Doctrine, Dogma, Covenants, and Basic Tenets. All of which take every opportunity to poke sticks at the established Dogmatic practice of organized Religion as it is known today.
The goal is not to make you laugh, although you may very well do just that. The goal is to make you THINK. Think about what you believe and why. Do you believe what you believe because of something you were told? Because of something you read? In a book? On a Web Site? (Yes, we poke fun at ourselves, too.) Or is it something you KNOW, based on your own experiance, your own Truth?
With that in Mind ...
Let's start with a look at "The Basic Tenets" of the NRUCRD.
We've hit the big time now!
The NRUCRD has cannonized it's first saint. St. Forrest is one of the original founders
of the church and is also the founder and patron saint of the NRUCRD's educational arm,
Saint Forrest University.
The NRUCRD has its very own Heretic! How many Parody Religions** can claim THAT!
